Food & Exercise -- 9/30/2003 (yesterday)
Well, I was down a pound yesterday :-). After I got weighed at the
gym, though, we went out for a big splurge meal with Tom at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, so I might have gained it back :-). I haven't had a real cheat meal in a long time, so don't feel bad about it. Lots of fat, though! I find wine gets to me much more than it used to since I've lost weight. 1/2 bottle gets me rather drunk :-). (I was not driving, I should point out.) The thing I did wrong yesterday was not to eat anything before going to the gym -- I guess because I was saving my appetite for dinner. I ended up getting really light-headed after I got done exercising. Anyway, here's the data: Food: 9:00 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices melted f/f cheese 12:00 (home): sandwich with 1 slice whole wheat bread, 66g leftover London Broil and a little f/f mayo; 70g leftover asparagus (Leftovers brought home from country club Sunday night.) 6:30 (steakhouse): small filet mignon w/ blue cheese crust; lobster tail; melted butter; shoestring potatoes (not a lot); large serving cheesecake; wine Totals: 2238 calories (300 from wine), 92g fat (37%), 145g carbs (26%), 133g protein (24%) 3:00 -- Exercise: Treadmill (just goofing around, because I was early and Tom was tied up): 15 minutes, increasing speed each minute from an easy walk to a slight-above-moderate run Bench: 2x10x45; 1x10x65; 1x5x65; 2x10x85; 1x7x95 Attempted DB shoulder presses, but it hurt my shoulder. I ended up doing about 20 reps with 5 lb. DBs, just working range of motion. Lying triceps extensions (skull crushers) w/ 35 lb. EZ Curl bar: 3x10 Triceps pressdowns: 2x7x62.5 lbs. Six sprints -- length of basketball court Elliptical trainer: 20 minutes, level 10 (Did this along with DH, who was starting his training session directly after mine.) Chris 262/177/??? (85 lbs. down :-) ) |
