I can't walk!
I broke my toe in the bathroom last night. Kicked the trim on the door -
hurt like a you-know-what. The good news is I can still ride my bike, do pilates and lift weights (no lunges). I buddy taped it and it really only hurts when I go downstairs. I can get around the house and function. But when I tried to walk with my PM friend this noon, we had to turn back. It didn't only hurt, my whole gait and stride was off. I'd have other problems to deal with if I kept that up. Does anybody know how long it'll take to heal? Thank goodness I got that bike! I rode almost 12 miles tonight, songs blasting, sun going down. My average speed wasn't as good as it has been but I was just happy to be out. -- On the bike . . . Laurie in Maine 207/110 60 inches of attitude! Start: 2/02 Maintained since 2/03 |

Does anybody know how long it'll take to heal? My big toe took 4-5 weeks, my pinky toe only 3 weeks before I could go back to normal activity. The pinky toe wasn't broken as badly as the big toe was. (two separate incidents) Thank goodness I got that bike! I rode almost 12 miles tonight, songs blasting, sun going down. My average speed wasn't as good as it has been but I was just happy to be out. I hope it gets better soon! Jenn |

I heard it crack. The dog came running when I yelled. Surprisingly, it didn't swell or get very bruised looking. Last time I went downstairs last night, I thought I'd be a cripple this morning. Thankfully that didn't happen. -- On the bike . . . Laurie in Maine 207/110 60 inches of attitude! Start: 2/02 Maintained since 2/03 |
