Default 5 great uses for "low carb" bread

Pass them along, feel free to add to the list.

1.. Feed it to the pigeons. Soon they will stop coming back and messing up
your yard.

2.. Very absorbent, great for picking up spills. Hold 3 times it's weight
in kerosene

3.. Toasted it is a great substitute for course sand paper (although much
more expensive).

4.. Leave out till it gets hard, makes an awesome door stop. You get about
20 in a pack, that's a lot of doors!

5.. Great for losing weight (in your pocketbook that is, $5 a loaf!!).
Pretty much a waste for loosing anything else.

You don't actually eat this stuff, do ya?

sounds like you're buying the wrong bread. i buy sprouted flax bread for
about $2.50/loaf, and it's quite tasty. at 11g net carbs per slice it's not
exactly "low carb", but if you only eat one slice a day, it's not terrible
either. also, a "slice" is about twice as much bread as a slice from a "low
carb" loaf.

That has been my experience with Atkins bread. There are many more
choices out there now that are healthier and cheaper and better
tasting.

I personally like Sara Lee bread. I get it at Wal-Mart.

LOL I usually eat thin sliced dark pumpernickel. 8 grams of carbs a
slice, and no sugar in whatever form in the brand I buy.

Hola,

You will never find a LC bread that will taste like good old bread (In
my case Challah bread, I love that stuff) However, there are a couple
of good brands out there. It is a little bit of trial and error until
you find a brand that you like.

In any case, even with LC bread, you should not eat the stuff
frequently. I put my loaf in the fridge and probably eat 2-4 slices a
week.
