When Do You Weigh?
I only weigh in once a week. That way I don't have the teeter-totter
effect. ie Yeah! I lost 2 lbs. or Rats! I gained 3 lbs. like you get from doing it every day. It's just too aggravating for me. Good Luck; Marty |

When Do You Weigh?
I bouce between weighing daily and weighing a few times a week. I tend
to weigh less in the evening than I do when I awaken (diuretics.) I need to pick a time of day and stick with it for comparison, but is it helpful to weigh daily or does that border on obsessive? Those of you who have been at this awhile, when do you weigh? -- Jean M. 348/330/180 - 5'10" Atkins Since 01/28/04 |

Those of you who have been at this awhile, when do you weigh? i find that the more often i weigh myself, the less i lose. :-) seriously, i think weighing oneself every day can be detrimental to mental health. it's how eating disorders are born, that obsession with numbers. i find it much nicer to be pleasantly surprised when something doesn't fit me anymore, because it's now too big. with this in mind, i think i'll do my numbers in dress sizes. -kelly (18w/14/10) |

I weigh every morning and keep a running graph. I don't consider it obsessive, it's just a number I record each day. I like to see the graph itself - trends, variances, etc. Seeing a month's worth of wiggles makes you *less* obsessive about today's wiggle, if the general trend is desirable. |

When Do You Weigh?
From: Jean M.
Those of you who have been at this awhile, when do you weigh? Jean, I don't/didn't weigh often. Started 5/27/03, maybe weighed once a month. Otherwise, it would've driven me crazy with plateaus, hormonal fluctuations, etc. I used Fitday, drank water, took my supplements & knew that as long as I stayed on plan, the weight would go according to my body. I've been maintaining my initial loss until I'm ready to go after what's left. Be patient, don't make it a trial. Trish 5'2" LC since 5/27/03 166/136/125ish? |

When Do You Weigh?
Used to be once a week, now it's every two weeks or so. That way I can count on
seeing a two or three pound loss every time. |

Hm. But I'm a graph kinda gal and dress sizes would come too slowly for me right now. Maybe after I've lost a bit. I'll keep that in the back of my brain. |

I keep graphs of my blood sugar and b/p, so what's one more? I stalled for 3 days this week and swore I'd never step on the scale again. I did this evening, and my graph is taking a 4 lb. dip. :-) |
