Demand for caskets for dead fat people is rising
It seems that the casket industry is selling more and more "super-size"
coffins for people who are too fat to fit in the regular coffins: http://news.independent.co.uk/world/...p?story=448034 Since there are more fat people around these days, and since they tend to die sooner, I guess this is logical. The fat-acceptance crowd should be pleased. -- Transpose hotmail and mxsmanic in my e-mail address to reach me directly. |

Demand for caskets for dead fat people is rising
Ooh, I like it!
I have worked at two major hospitals. At the first, we had an EDU -Emergency Department unit. When I worked there, we would frequently state that a patient had been transferred to the ECU (Eternal Care Unit) after they died. Later I went to work for another hospital. On my third or fourth day in the units, a nurse came up to see us with a name tag that stated her dept as the ECU. I was horrified. It turned out that the ER at that hospital was called the 'Emergency Care Unit" -hence the 'ECU' name tag. Meanwhile, what about: alt.support.TheBigD j "Ron Ritzman" wrote in message news On Wed, 1 Oct 2003 11:51:28 -0500, "Julianne" wrote: And what would it be named" Alt.sleep.dirtnap rec.assume.roomtemp Soc.eternal.care Alt.med.stable alt.support.metaphysically-challenged -- Ron Ritzman http://www.panix.com/~ritzlart Smart people can figure out my email address |
