Default 12 Days Induction and No loss! Help!

Hello, I was wondering if i could get some advice.
I am 25 years old, 190 pounds (without any clothes).
I want to weigh 170.
I was obese for much of my life, weighing 230 in eighth grade.
I've come really far but i've still got roles and I still am too
embarrassed to take my shirt off at a pool or beach or to meet women
and I'm tired of living life on the sidelines.
I have been on Atkins for about 12 days now.
I have not lost a single pound.
My ketostix readings have consistently been from trace to small, with
moderate showing up once or twice. I test it almost every time i
urinate just for kicks, i'm not THAT obsessive.
The first three days or so, I was eating a lot of cool whip and pecans
because i was misinformed (I've since done my own research).
Now, I only eat meat and eggs and I try to limit my cheese.
I have eliminated diet soda, crystal light, and sugar free jello
because I thought that the aspertame could be hindering my weight loss
as I've read it does for some people. I've even eliminated the 0 carb
splenda drink mix because I read that it still has a carb per serving
and I was guzzling it.

A typical day's food is:

Breakfast:
3 eggs scrambled (omelette attempted but it never works out!)
Can of canned chicken w/ mayo
2 multivitamins

Lunch:
Either the same as breakfast
or 7 pieces of cold cut meat with 1 piece of cheese

Snack:
Some 0 carb pepperoni and maybe some cheese

Dinner:
Either same as breakfast or two 0 carb turkey burgers w/ 1 slice of
cheese

Snack:
Some 0 carb pepperoni and maybe some cheese

A few nights I've gone out and had a rib eye steak with shrimp scampi.
Or two burger patties with cheese on each.

I do a light weight lifting workout every other day.

Anyhow, I haven't lost a pound and my clothes are not fitting any
looser.
I have read all of these miracles about people dropping weight in
their first week and I understand that it is relative to how much one
has to lose, but I certainly expected to lose something.

Do you think I just need to stick with it and its a matter of time? My
body switching to using its fat stores for fuel sounds like a dream
come true.

Any advice would be appreciated!

- Mike

Looks like way too much protein - you can stop weight loss with too much. Too
many calories - again, even in induction calories do count. And where are your
veggies? Have 3-4 oz protein and a salad instead of those huge protein meals.

How much protein would you recommend? 60g or so?

Track all of your calories, and then reduce them.

Thank you, i'll definitely take your advice into consideration. Just
curious, why the hostility? I wanted to get the opinions of people who
were well versed on Atkins and low carb. I didn't mean to offend
anyone.

You're still misinformed. I don't see a single veggie in your menu. Or mention
of the large emount of water you should be drinking.

Try actually reading the group for a few days, reading the FAQ, and googling
for obvious information before you start with the stupid questions already.
Also, whining about how you can't eat less but you still want to to lose
weight really sucks.

yep. for someone who only needs to lose 20 lbs, that sounds like way
too much food to me.
