This 'calorie free' stuff is devoid of them. Less likely to slow weight loss if there are NO calories, perhaps. |

I keep a loaf of Weight Watchers whole wheat bread in the freezer for occasions like this. It's pretty low-cal/low-carb - mainly because the slices are so small. Anyway, I use it to make French toast. One beaten egg, a splash of cream, some cinnamon. Serve with butter and ED Smith sugar-free pancake syrup. Oh, and BACON. Jo Anne |

"readandpostrosie" wrote in message ... i like the davinci sf. maple syrup/pancake syrup. what do you put it on? How 'bout cream cheese pancakes? Take 4 egg whites & beat until stiff; set aside. Then beat 8 oz. of softened cream cheese with the 4 egg yolks until smooth. Blend in a tsp. of vanilla, 2 T. Splenda, and 1/4 tsp. or so of cinnamon. Fold in the egg whites and leave for about 10 minutes before cooking them up... I've had better luck using a hot skillet than an electric griddle...and definitely better luck making the pancakes dollar size rather than plate-size...the pancakes are pretty delicate. Very yummy, though. You can make the batter ahead of time and refrigerate; great to take along on camping trips. *s* |
