Isn't that true of most of our grains and vegetables? They have all been
bred to be larger, easier to harvest, more resistant to disease, etc.

this isn't a case of something being bred to be larger or easier to
harvest. google it.

Yeah, but from what I've been reading on here, it's not just a matter of
having a different kind of corn now, but that corn never did grow in the
wild at all. Like, there never were any wild poodles either, we bred them
from other animals. There are lots of plants that are hybrids and never
existed in the wild, (don't people win awards at flower shows for breeding
new types of flowers?) and apparently corn is one of them.

I did and it appears that the natives of this continent cultivated it. It
didn't say they "created" it.
