Default remembering Tony Florida (long)

Dear all,

It is exactly one year ago that we lost one of the greatest members of this
newsgroup ever.
For all of you who didn't know him : Tony Florida was a piano player with
lots of humour and, even more important, a lot of compassion for other
people. He died of pulmonary embolism one year ago and left this newsgroup
in a state of shock. He was a great writer who liked to kick ass and who was
one of the most supportive people I knew. He didn't hesitate to send you a
private mail when he felt you were not well... I 'm truly honoured to have
known him and to have exchanged a few personal e-mails with him. He is still
there in my heart and I wish to dedicate my weightloss to him.
Wherever he is now, he is definitely not forgotten.
If you want to know how he was like, do a google search on google newsgroups
and enjoy his posts!
In his honour I would like to point you to the following post which I kept,
because it gives me the wisdom to continue when I 'm ready to give up
http://makeashorterlink.com/?H2C3324F7 . It will also tell you all about the
LGB ( little green *******) :-))

I lurked here occasionally before starting my journey, and didn't get a
chance to see many of Tony's posts. I wish I had.

I'm also thankful for the explanation of "LGB" - the only thing I could
think of when I saw that was the LGB student group at my old university
- the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual group. I could not for the life of me
figure out exactly what that had to do with WW.

Thankyou for the reminder Nathalie. I can't believe it's been a year. He

I was thinking of Tony only yesterday, and today I bought the ingredients to
make Tony's wonderful pot roast - subconciously I must have known. As you
say, he was a wonderfully supportive person and he is greatly missed.

Thanks for posting this Nathalie, I can't believe it has been a year already.
Tony has been on my mind alot lately, so maybe the subconcious knew what I didn't?
And I did make his *famous* pepsi pot roast for dinner, just before you posted
this. grin

From what little I did know of him, told me he was a wonderful person who is
missed by many.
