It's now eighteen weeks into my diet and I have another loss, albeit small.
Only 1.7 pound loss for the week but still a loss! I'm switching from calorie counting to Weight Watchers points, still eating the same things but counting them in a different way. I'm still amazed at my increased energy and decreased pain. I've done all the yardwork I can do for now (budget constraints) and am now redecorating and reorganizing my home office. New paint, rerouting wires and cables, sorting/organizing/tossing. Right now everything is in a state of disarray, and the old me would have been discouraged because back then I wouldn't have the energy to finish, but for me now it's exciting! Can't wait to finish and then take on my next project. -- Dewolla Stepon 268/218.1/199 154 at age 28 280 at age 53 |

As a matter of fact I do have several tomato plants in pots on the patio,
and I even have some tomatoes set already. I got started extra-early, planting the seeds on January 3rd. I set the plants out on March 1st, I'm in USDA zone 9b, Sunset zone 15. There is nothing like a fresh, home-grown tomato! - Dewolla "Ignoramus13397" wrote in message ... Did you plant any food Dewolla? Your weight loss for the week is quite respectable. |

Only 1.7 pound loss for the week but still a loss! Drop the hurtfull "only" stuff. The ideal loss rate to keep it off is 4 per month. Doesn't matter that every dieter in existance wants to feel that is slow. Reality is just plain irritating at times. Celebrate the loss without wrapping it in words that discount the impressive acheivement. No self deprecation! |

Isn't it said the slower you lose, the more likely you'll keep it off? Heywood 232/203/182 (but the scale said 201 today woot) |

Congratulations Dewolla! You're doing a fantastic job of losing at a steady rate. 1.7 pounds is great for a week. I attended my first WW at work meeting today. It's been quite sometime since I counted points. I'm going to track the points but still enter food into Fitday so I can see the carb/protein/fat ratio and watch the calories. If you run out of projects around your house, I have plentyg I still need to clear the raised vegetable garden and plant some tomatoes. I haven't decided what else I'll plant this year. My daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters do most of the yard work for me. I get to play in the flowers and small garden. Beverly I'm still amazed at my increased energy and decreased pain. You are doing terrific! Is that 50 pounds? My math is sort of bad. If it
is fifty, go to the grocery store and consider ten of those five pound cans of crisco. You have lost the equivalent. Good job. j "Dewolla Stepon" wrote in message news:q3pqc.73972$iF6.6216752@attbi_s02... It's now eighteen weeks into my diet and I have another loss, albeit small. You have lost the equivalent. Good job. Yep, just .1 pounds shy of fifty. I was a little lower weight a few days ago but I only count my Tuesday weigh-ins. For a comparison I use the fifty pound bags of sunflower seeds I feed my squirrels and birds. It seems unreal that I've been lugging all that around for several years - no wonder I've been achy! Thanks for the encouragement! - Dewolla |
