Default What NOT to order at Applebees -- and what my cat thought of it ...

I went to Applebees for lunch yesterday with a coworker. There are lots of
low-carb adaptable items on the menu that I usually order. But I decided to
try something different and ordered the beer-battered fish and chips (sans
the "chips) So they brought the fish, I picked off the batter coating and
....

YUCKKKKKKK! It was terrible! It had an odd "sharp" taste, almost vinegary.
I had my lunch companion taste it (my taste buds are changed by 2 years + of
low carb) and she said that it tasted as if they soaked the fish in beer and
didn't cook it all out. I'm not a complainer -- live and learn is my
policy -- so I asked for a doggy bag and stuck it in a fridge at work until
evening, thinking my cat Yoda would love to have some fish fillets for
dinner.

I knew Yoda was hungry because it was evening and he hadn't eaten since
morning. I crumbled two large fish fillets into his kitty dish , all the
while he was winding in and out around my feet meowing for his dinner. I set
it down for him and ...

First he sniffed it, then looked up at me. He sniffed it again, looked up
at me again. For a minute I thought he couldn't believe his good fortune.
But he sniffed the fish again, and then started pawing and clawing like mad
at the floor around it. He turned around with his butt towards the fish and
clawed at the floor with his hind feet. Then I realized he was trying to
BURY it! LMAO!!!! I laughed so hard I was in tears. Yoda shared my
opinion that Applebee's beer-battered fish belonged in his litterbox, not in
a dinner dish! hee hee hee!

p.s. here's a link to Yoda's picture.

My cat is pretty much living in his own world but I ate at Applebee's Friday
and had the sirloin caesar salad and got food poisoning on Halloween. what a
****er. I was already to go out and have fun = (
