I confess! Between the flu and it's aftermath, my week away during
Thanksgiving and the mad rush to catch up on things since then, I have
piteously avoided posting, reading or otherwise being a part of my favorite
newsgroup in the whole world.

Anyway, I miss y'all. My weight has not been an issue with my recent
illness and subsequent stress level trying to keep up. However, the minute
my life is calm and in control, I will need you all! My biggest regret is
that I have not been here for others who needed support even when I didn't.
Seems kind of selfish, huh?

Forgive me. I have taken advantage of the 'Mark All Read' option in Outlook
Express which means I will see no prior messages. If anyone feels neglected
because I didn't post, well........ post again!

Happy Holidays to All!

Thanks, Cris. You are one of my heroes whether you know it or not.

I absolutely hated lifting weights a year ago. Frankly, I still don't care
for it much. But, I have yet to find an alternative and so I do lift
weights several times a week. At first I thought that I would have to be
miserable for hours to reap the benefits. Not being a competitive lifter,
it seems that fifteen to thirty minutes several times a week is a good deal.
You can't beat that with a stick!

Anyway, I used to hate lifting. Now, I do it because I can't help but
ignore the benefits that a few minutes several times a week have brought me.
Maybe, soon, I will learn to love it! But if I don't, who cares. Anyone
can lift weights or do push ups for fifteen minutes if they truly know how
they will benefit. That is where you come in. You are a true inspiration.

Aw, gee, thanks :-). One of the nice things about weight training is
that it really doesn't take a lot of time to get real benefits from
it.

OK, ok - do I have to make this a New Year's resolution?

If I said yes, would that make any difference :-)?

Seriously, you might like it if you try it.

I can be nudgedg I see all of you doing this and think "hmmm - couldn't
hurt to try!"

I'm almost always open to new things. Iggy even caused me to do 5 pushups
:-) (I just figured out that weightlifting site I've seen links to has
*animated* demos - my ad blocker was stopping it!)
