Forget about it. Start a program of exercise -- start with something simple
like walking around the block. Also start a food diary and after about a
month, get back to us and we can help you decide what you could be doing
better.

There's no magic bullet. You can't be healthy without exercising and eating
right the rest of your life.

It's mostly marketing hype.

Cut carbs, drink a lot of water, eat healthy fruits, vegetables, fats,
protein to fuel your body *adequately* (reduce quantities but don't
starve yourself), exercise more, and you'll lose weight.

90lbs is less than losing 2lbs/week on average over the next year.
Doable if you want it.

Welcome. We can help you.

The South Beach Diet is a best-selling book that is available in every
library everywhere. Go read it for yourself. I also really recommend
that you read an older book, "the zone diet" by Barry Sears. It's
interesting to get the same information from a couple of points of view.

All of these diets make a distinction between bad carbs and good carbs,
and a distinction between good fats and bad fats. The gist of the diet
is that you need to cut out the bad carbs and bad fats and eat balanced
diets of healthy foods. In practice this means vegetables and fruits,
whole grains and lean proteins. It means cutting out things you eat
just for their entertainment value and learning to fuel your body well.

It's a good idea to figure out how to eat small portions several times a
day. Your diet should not leave you hungry or lacking in energy! The
reason this works to lose weight is that you can feel sated and have
enough energy on moderate calories if you pick your foods wisely.

It takes some practice to relearn how to eat, but it's well worth doing.
Please understand that you need to eat like this most of the time for
the rest of your life... it's a substantial change for many people.

You also are going to have to learn to move your body. For optimum fat
loss you should work out 6 days a week: three days doing some cardio
exercise and 3 days doing some resistance training.

Weight-lifting is more important on so many levels and it's just now
sinking into people's consciousness - but it can literally save your
life. Plus, you're already a large person. One of the things you've
got going for you is all the muscle you've built up from hauling around
your bulk. You may as well leverage your assets!

Can you tell me more about you? For my story you can see my
transformation at
