Freebase is the same as crack? I thought they were different.

As you accelerate your food, it takes exponentially more and more energy
to increase its velocity, until you hit a limit at C. This energy has
to come from somewhere; in this case, from the food's nutritional value.
Thus, the faster the food is, the worse it gets.

Have you tried reading Dr. Phil's weight loss book? I am working

the keys are helping me a lot and getting me to the core of why I was
continually sabotaging myself with high carb garbage-foods and
mindless binge eating.

I havn't yet to read that book myself. Sounds like a good one to read by what
you explained..that the contents are about. I think it would do me some good
also, to read that book. Thanks f or mentioning the book!

I did binge on drinking before myself. By drinking wine coolers on a weekend
night. It went on into eating junk food, overeating. So it can be a trigger.
Then what I have read of late on here is the alcohol also is first used up for
the energy source? Somthing like that..

OMG! Thanks for the translation, even though it wasn't me that asked for it. I
was wondering what it meant too. Got a good hearted laugh on that one! Whew!

Well alcohol's purpose is to be irresponsible, to let loose, be
carefree, relax, and all those other justifications. Alcohol isn't a
trigger, so much as the gun you use to shoot yourself in the foot
with. Alcohol constantly and consistently leads to multiple acts of
stupidity.

I have been battling binge eating forever, but overall I am still keeping my
weight between 183-185. I for some reason can't get below 183. Well, I
know the reason. I need to be on Induction for like 3 weeks to get to 180
or maybe even a month. I hope I can find the strength to do it. Alcohol is
a big weakness for me. So are sweets sometimes.

Nice to hear from you. I was just thinking about you and remembered you
were one of the first people that welcomed me to this group.

I thought you were doing well. Is this a new thing or have you been
battling the binging for a while now?

At least you know that alcohol will trigger a binge.

For people who lack the self control to say no to things that they flat-out
*know* are not assets to their proposed lifestyle change, I find that
travelling with either less cash or no means to pay for extras helps a lot.
Next time, go into a bar with 5 dollars or less.

Don't sweat it Curt....just focus extra hard on your diet for a few days

and
turn on the exercise. This will get ironed out like a wrinkle.

You can't be perfect in terms of diet (or anything else), so don't try to
be....sometimes these things happen. Just worry about what you're doing
MOST of the time....and make sure that doesn't involve beer, pizza, and
Hagan Daaz

Yeah, I generally agree with what you say about when this happens and then
you focus for a few days. Many times I will take Thursday off due to a
volleyball group I am in and we have some drinks after playing. That seems
okay, but then the Thursday turns into a Friday and then Saturday and then
the next week I start on Wednesday thru Saturday and sometimes don't even
diet on Sunday. I will get back on track today, but it is amazing how I get
into my old ways sometimes.

Thanks Roger,
Curt

Don't beat yourself up. You did good by recognizing a potential trigger.
Now you need to focus on what you can do to prevent a repeat. I'm
recovering from freebase cocain addiction (called crack these days) and I
have been in recovery since 1985. No, I don't believe in 12 step

programs.
I was the idiot who put myself in that situation, so I needed to learn how
to keep myself out of it. So far so good, but even to this day I get the
occasional flavor of cocain in my mouth in some situations and I haven't

had
any since 1985. You can do this!

Regards,
Gunn

Wow, that is very inspirational. Nice work! I have a few friends that got
hooked on Heroin. They are not doing very well. One tried de-toxing in my
home once. He made it three days and I was stupid enough to think he was
okay to go home. I have done a lot of reading on the subject since then and
realize my home was not the place to try it. He needs more like 6 months
minimum. Well, he is getting 3 years minimum in jail due to his addiction.
He is doing better now, but what a way.

Anyway I am glad you are going through life without the use of drugs. Very
nice to hear a success story when it comes to that. I have seems some very
bad situations and lives lost over drugs around me.

I've heard that the result is the same thing. I've also heard that the
making of the rock itself sometime changes depending on which process "the
cook" is familar with. I know this because I do jail clergy when I get the
occasional phonecall from a jail social worker with a problematic inmate.
I'm not a bible preacher and I'm familiar with many non-traditional faiths,
especially earth based religions. Most of the time the call is for a Witch,
sometimes a Native American and the occasional Druid of which I am none of,
but I undersand how to approach them and get them to settle down.

Regards,
Gunn
