WNM week 10: Down 1.6 to 196.6 / 49 total / 1.4 to make my WNM goal of 195

SUB week 1: 3 times (2 walks with DH and 1 Curves Session)

Life has continued to be hectic in this household. I have been working 6
days a week for the past month. Last week one of the students asked if I
could hold class on Saturday instead of Sunday so he could go to church. I
said okay forgetting my normal Saturday routine of WW, errands and then
Curves before breakfast. Oh well. I get up at my usual time and rush off to
WW and then to the office. Low and behold the guy who asked me to switch the
class is a no-show. arrgghh. This weekend is the last class and then I will
be back to only working 5 days a week.

Life will settle down shortly as I head to mom's in a few weeks. Summer
vacation here I come! Then a whole different life unfolds for 2+ months
while I take care of my mother for the summer. I can't wait for the usual
"You're not losing fast enough on WW, you got to try Jenny Craig (or what
ever pill is being advertised that day on the afternoon TV)." I'm prepared
this year to just shrug her comments off and to remind her that I am "doing
just fine" on WW so why change now. Her comments that I am eating too much
might prove to be harder to deal with but I'll come up with something when
the time comes.

I did have a clothing NSV this week. I went to Kmart (my second home ;-)) to
check out their clearance rack with my neighbor. I found a nice long blue
jean skirt (something I have always wanted). Asked the clerk how much it
was. $2. Right up my alley. Size 20. She looked at me and said "are you sure
you need a size 20?" I said I didnot know but would try it on. Too big.
Darn. I just have to keep looking for that skirt.

Hope everyone has a great week of losing.

Great work this week Laura. With the kind of progress you're making, I'm
sure you'll find a loving and firm way to keep your mother's remarks in
perspective and at bay. Good luck with that.

So sorry (NOT!) that the size 20 skirt you've been wanting is too big!!
Don't know about you, but that kind of disappointment is still not too
terribly disappointing.

Thanks Linda. I'm sure I will find a way to put mom *in her place* without
losing my cool. Being ready for them certainly helps. Seeing her in a few
weeks should be interesting. I've lost about 20 pounds since our last visit
at Christmas. I'm not sure how much she noticed then because she was in bad
need of a cateract operation in her good eye. Now that she can see again she
should notice the total weight loss. Maybe that will shut her up this
summer. Probably not, knowing her but I can hope.

I can live without the skirt. But at that price it certainly was a steal. I
have enough clothes at this size to keep me happy for the summer and early
fall. I do need to find a dress to wear to my step-sons wedding in July so
that is now on my shopping radar list. I may have to hit Macy's to find it.

thanks Fred. I am struggling this week. Too many movie visits by the family.
Popcorn is my downfall and the extra salt has wiped out last weeks loss.
I'll be salt and popcorn free for the rest of the month.
