Default Off the plan

Well I have stalled and been off the plan for 6 weeks. I am noticing the
old problems are coming back. My BS readings have raised 20 points and the
psoriasis is coming back in all its glory.
I need to go back through induction and start all over again. I hate that
as humans we are so weak and easily distracted from lifestyle changes.
Summer time is tough because of the irregular times that keep me from eating
when I should. While the sun is shining I like to keep at what ever I am
doing and the next thing I know I am eating lunch at 2 or 3 PM and then
supper at 8 or 9PM. Then going to sleep at 11PM and waking at 5AM to start
all over again.
The winter time with it being dark earlier helps me keep a more normal
routine.
Keep praying for me that I can stay the course. It is only through Jesus
Christ that anyone can change.

Well, I don't know about that last point. But one thing I can suggest is not
thinking about this as "starting all over again".

Just consider it another step in the journey...

Staying on low-carbs should not be that hard. If you really purge yourself
of carbs for 4 or 5 days the carb cravings should disappear.

That will go a long way to helping you control your appetite.

Asking people to pray for you, and saying that without the help of an
outside agency you cannot achieve your goals is passing the buck.
This isn't something outside your control. *You* are the one in
charge of your behavior. Get back on track, Emil.

Take care,

Well, now I finally understand what helped me to loose that weight - I
am atheist.

There are no excuses for going off-plan for me - I would be only one to
blame.

Emil I am praying for you. Now let's clear some things up. You are
off the eating plan. You are not stalled. A stall is when you are ON
plan and not losing weight or inches after several weeks. Of course
when you eat all the stuff that made you fat and miserable in the
first place you are going to be fat and miserable in the second place.
So, stop eating poorly and get back on the diet so you start to feel
better again.

Don't blame it on the weather. Don't blame it on God. You know what
you need to do and you've had some measure of success because you
report a small weight reduction. Get out your copy of the book and
start following directions. Plan your meals ahead of time so life
distractions don't get in the way. You know you will be hungry
everyday and you know you will eat something everyday. So plan for it
rather than make excuses. If you have to leave yourself notes on the
mirror or on the doors of your home, then do it. Heck, leave notes on
the dashboard of your car if needed. But, do whatever it takes to eat
on time and avoid getting hungry. Prayer changes things and I am
praying that you face your challenges head on and do what it takes to
lose the weight and get healthy.

Eating your meals at a different hour in the summer doesn't double
their calories. No diet plan works if you're not doing it.

Emil, Since you haven't written again I am going to assume that you
are lurking and still reading the newsgroup. You probably did not get
the responses you were looking for. However, you did get some useful
information along with the expected negatives. I do hope you were not
naive enough to expect everyone on a Usenet newsgroup to agree with
your point of view. And I pray that you did not run away disheartened
playing the victim. I believe that you would glorify the Lord by
firming yourself up and doing whatever it takes to make yourself
leaner and healthier. What a wonderful testimony you could make if
you lost the fat and got to goal weight.

Remember David had to first pick up some stones. And Joshua had to
walk around the walls. A sound lowcarb diet and an exercise program
will be the answer to your prayer when you take the initiative.
