Default My fall update... how she fell and is trying to get up again

I did badly over summer. I was really busy, but still no excuse. While
I was painting the living room, I totally let the gym slide... just
couldn't do both. The good news is that the month long absence didn't
affect me too badly, I think I kept most of my gains there, at least I
was able to do the same weights on the machines, it was just harder.

Worst was the eating. I got in a fast food/sugar habit and have been
having trouble breaking it. I think I got burnt out on my own simple
cooking... and am now trying to experiment a bit more with that as I
have time. Bringing some new recipes in may help.

This one is really nice! Great taste, simple and quick!

Anyway, trying to get my motivation back before I bust out of my
clothes!

Can't promise to be around tons... this is the first I've read the
group in months! But hope to check in more often.

We've already had a first snowfall and it's been pretty chilly for
fall lately! I'm trying to get in my winter mode.

Anyhow, I did better on my water drinking than usual today, a whole
bottle before I went for my workout. Will try and drink another
tonight... but of course I also drank a smaller bottle at the gym.

Also, at Subway... did NOT get cookies with my sandwich!

It's good to see you here again Cynthia - even if it's not for the
best reasons Sorry things haven't gone too well - I hope to see you
posting a bit now.

Welcome back. The recipe sounds good. One of the restaurants I frequent
serves a Cajun catfish I love. I've never prepared catfish at home but
might give this one a try - you do remember I don't cook at home too

fall lately! I'm trying to get in my winter mode.

Waaaay to early for snowG Thankfully it's usually waits until late
November before we get any snow. I'm really not looking forward to it this
year as it means I won't be going out on the bike. I know some people
simply change to different tires and ride in the snow but I don't think I'll
ever be one of them.

I don't know about your area but most Subways around here put those cookies
right next to the register. Good marketing strategy but bad for those of us
who find them tempting.

I got a cookbook from our favorite cajun/creole place up here. I'm
going to work with some of the recipes to see if I can make healthy
adjustments and let ya know if they work

Amen to that. They're good cookies but have more calories than my
typical sandwich I order! (turkey wrap).
