So far so terrific
I started back on Sunday morning and felt very driven to do the right thing.
It felt good to put good foods into my cart Sunday afternoon while shopping.
I also seen the huge Walmart selection of low carb stuff, that was pretty
cool except I've noticed that over half of it was just LC junk food. I'm
totally trying to stay away from the artificial sweeteners this
time.....dont need the tummy trouble. The only "junk" i bought was LC ice
cream, and havent opened it yet, havent even wanted it or thought about it
really.
Oh, I bought shakes....the BEST LC shake I've ever had. Made by Slim-fast.
I've always liked thier shakes back when they only made the 99% sugar
ones...who wouldnt like those huh? lol But the chocolate was really good,
much better than AdvantEdge or Atkins. This was really creamy and only 2
net carbs.
Everything else in the cart was meat, veggies, eggs, butter....all the good
stuff. My fridge is packed!
A new obstacle this go-round is that I am on midnight shift at the factory.
I dont know if breakfast should be eaten before bed (8amish) or when I get
up at 3pm ish... Ah well nothing wrong with breakfast for supper. Eating at
3 am break is weird too, I'm usually not hungry at all. Just finished day 2
and already have lost my appetite somewhat. Also in ketosis this morning
and down 3 pounds from Sunday morning. Feeling very good and yes Roger,
hubby got the bikes out of the boxes and they are put together now It
has been cold here so I havent ridden yet. Will let ya know how that goes.
Oh....I also caught crap with hubby cuz I didnt mention him in my original
post back on the NG. He is as geared up as I am about getting back on track
and even though he never types anything, he reads the NG or listens to me
blabbing about whatever I've read here. I guess he just wanted to make it
known that we're both back and feeling terrific about it.
Sorry for the blabbering today...I'm off to bed!

"PieNtheSky32" slid from beneath the satin
sheets of the bed of iniquity and whispered:

I like the shakes, personally. I make my own, with the powder. It takes
getting used to, but I use lots of ice cubes and make it like a real shake.
I get the flavor but none of the stuff from ice cream. And it's not an
overwhelming sugary flavor.

I like the Carbolite stuff better than Atkins or Advantage; and the Carbo
stuff usually has less net carbs.

I even found one kind that was made from Bavarian chocolate.

But when I get myself on track, I don't crave the chocolate as much as when
I strayed or before the diet.

Glad to hear so many positives for you Pie
Must be something about the new year.. i'm also feeling that rush to
be re- committed and even more solid than before.

And YAY!! for that hubby of yours
It's always easier with a partner.

My hubby stepped on the scale just after Xmas and decided it was time
for him to do something too... I know it will only work til he goes to
work on the road , but with me doing the cooking he finds it easy to
follow.

So here's to the New Year, to Our Hubby's and to yummy foods, bike
riding, walks, and getting the scale heading in the right direction
again.
