Default Erythrocyte Hyperaggregation in Obesity

I want to share the information that obese patients show erythrocyte hyperaggregation that does not seem to be related to increased Fbg or plasma lipid levels but to IR, which accompanies obesity. Erythrocyte hyperaggregation and IR improve after weight loss. Erythrocyte hyperaggregation may be another possible mechanism through which obesity increases the risk of arterial and venous thrombotic events.
