Chris Chris, I do hope you will continue to contribute here as I would really miss your wise comments. I understand your reasons for stopping your daily food and exercise recording - I've often marvelled at how you've managed to continue to do it for so long, although in your case I never thought of it as obsessiveness - you're not in the same league as me when it comes to that) I think for the vast majority of us here what you have said about being able to live life as a normal weight person with a normal relationship with food and/or exercise (in my case it's just the relationship with food that's the problem) would represent the proof of truly genuine success. I would guess that only very few who have had weight problems can ever reach that point, but of all the people I can think of you are the one who demonstrates how it can be done. janice |

I'm not sure I'm quite there yet on the "normal relationship" thing; I'm still trying to find the right balance between just having good habits and worrying about it all a bit too much, but it's working pretty well. (I certainly ate more than I needed to on Thanksgiving -- but not insane amounts. And, while I didn't exercise for the three days we were away at my in-laws (just logistically hard, and I decided to take a break), I've been back to my routine since -- did hip-hop yesterday and ran 5 1/2 miles this afternoon. Maybe this is pretty normal, all in all :-). I plan to stick around here. Chris |

Chris Thanks for inspiring me to keep a daily log and thanks for all the comments. Congratulations on your accomplishments. You have done well and you should be proud! Also, I was recently made aware of thedailyplate.com for tracking food. So if you ever find yourself wanting to log your diet and/or exercise in the future, check it out. I like it so far because you can look up calories right from the same site, click on it, and it adds the calories right to your log for you and totals them all up for you, then takes off the calories for the exercise you've done for the day. Anyway, keep up the good work. Bye bye. Love, Shauhn |

It only seemed like yesterday that you were in weight loss mode from 262. And look at you at 130 and holding for at least a year or so... :-) Sad that I won't be able to see your posts on your food and fitness journal. But I'm glad you're at a point where you no longer need to do this now. Cheers, Joanna (yes, I know. I haven't been around in quite a while... I'll post what's been happening with me in a bit...) |
