Default going to get a tanita

For ****s and giggles... Seriously - if it will at least track the downward
trend of fatloss, that will be one more tool in my arsenal. So, I don't
need a dual-mode, since I'm single. Which one should I get?

Go find one on sale. I recently go our at Linens and things -
clearance sale (last year's model).

They all basically function the same. If you want the bodyfat one,
they all basically measure the same way and have the same level of
accuracy. So, go find a cheap variety and go from there.

He's got a point there... I purchased a dual mode and am glad, because
very soon now, I won't be single!

Although, it may be a bit before George can use it, he's still over
its maximum weight limit. However, probably won't be all that long
before I program him in.

The scale does seem to be quite good, stable platform, feels solid,
seems to weigh pretty consistently. As for the BF measurement... I do
think it will give you the trend, though I wouldn't put tons of faith
in the actual accuracy.

I have a dual, but it only stores my sex and height -- the info needed to come up
with a bodyfat percentage. It does not store how much I actually weigh or the
result of the bodyfat calculation. The only way others are going to see how much
I weigh is if they're standing right there when I step on the scale. Well that or
if they open up the spreadsheet on my computer.

284/242/199/???

Misconception.... The dual stores height and age. Not necessarly
weight and bodyfat.

Now, that being said. The model I purchased has a "recall". You
select your memory setting. It flashes up height and age, then it
calibrates for weight, you step on, get weighed, then it does the
bodyfat measurement. Then displays both readings.

From there, I can choose recall to view the last weight when I
weighed. But it only does that for the last weighing, it doesn't
keep a history in there.

And, not all models have this feature.

I'm struggling to find a tanita w/athletic mode - maybe I don't need
athletic mode, but I want it! I might be athletic someday... I've been to
Walmart, Walgreen's, Bed Bath & Beyond. Will try Fred Meyer's tonight after
work. We have a Linens and things, but it's a little ways way.

what is the exact model name that you have.
Is it accurate in measuring weight?
