Hey Ralph. I don't have a problem with honest. I agree with much of what you posted, which put succinctly is that one diabetic is not in fact just like another one. I have seen some who can eat actual refined sugar without it affecting their bg, and then have it go through the roof with a banana. That is why I suggested that you post what you are eating. The trick is, to combine this and that to slow the conversion of whichever or whatever to sugar (usually some combo of either fructose, sucrose or white carbs). My daughter still goes totally whacko when the stress level gets ramped, like during her final exams. I have tweaked my eating a lot because I love simple carbs, and I am pre-diabetic. I dodged the bullet by losing the 200 pounds before my pancreas got tired.
I have given this some more thought. Although I haven't seen it in this group so far (other than that George dude, who is obviously selling something of his own) I have seen in other groups how people can be less than supportive. I am not willing to post on the group, but I would be willing to email directly and I would of course cc a limited number people just to keep us honest :-) if you want. Thanks to all. Ralph |
