Here's the LC version of biscuits and gravy: hardtack & bacon grease
.... and a little mayo.

per serving:
one cracker*, crushed (w/ jelly glass or rolling pin)
"juice" from two slices of bacon
a teaspoon or two of mayonnaise

*e.g. Wasa "Fiber Rye" (which apparently is called "Fiber Plus" in
Canada; recently our local supermarket had that instead of the usual
package, French & English)

I must have missed the original post since this says "update"...but my
question is;
Is this really suppose to be a substitute for biscuits and gravy?
a crushed High Fiber Rye cracker mixed with mayo and bacon grease ? it
sounds awful.....

You're right, it certainly does sound awful. I think the reply was just
someone's idea of a nauseating joke.... the writer must have been kidding
people who want a substitute for biscuits and gravy. We all know there
isn't any substitute for biscuits and gravy!

Hmmm. Is there such a thing as a whole wheat biscuit?

Priscilla, diabetic eating low-carb to her meter who can get away with
some genuine whole wheat baked goods
