I received lengthy email spam from a Joe Mazur, allegedly National
Accounts Manager for "Mister Cookie Face" ice cream, who licensed the
Keto brand name for their lowcarb ice cream.

He claimed to have seen some comments of mine on a lowcarb web site,
but the spam came to the address used only for newsgroups, so he's
harvesting addresses from this newsgroup. I expect I'm not the only
one who's been spammed by this luser.

I reported the spam to his ISP (AOL, no surprise that he's not using a
corporate address for his spamming) and certainly won't be trying any
Keto ice cream after being spammed.

Geez, if I reported every spam email that I get to an ISP, that's all
I'd be doing.

Poor baby, you simply received a reply. Spam needs to be mass distributed,
junk or sales mailings. Here are a couple of Spam definitions, do google
and
find more. Then lick your wounds and learn what you are talking about.

Definitions of Spam on the Web:

Unsolicited "junk" e-mail sent to large numbers of people to promote
products or services. Sexually explicit unsolicited e-mail is called "porn
spam." Also refers to inappropriate promotional or commercial postings to
discussion groups or bulletin boards.
www.getnetwise.org/glossary.php

An inappropriate attempt to use a mailing list, or USENET or other
networked communications facility as if it was a broadcast medium by sending
the same message to a large number of people who didn't ask for it. Mass
junk E-mail.

I've been on the internet and participating in Usenet newsgroups
for more than 20 years. I don't need condescending little
turnd to define spam for me.

This was not a reply, it was multiple pages of advertisements and
testimonials for an ice cream I never inquired about, nor did I inquire
about any ice cream whatsoever. This was commercial spam, from a salesman
harvesting addresses from newsgroups, and reported as it should be.

Nah, but probably a dictionary or a typing course would help.

Allow me to turn the thread to an area where you have a vast capacity
and volumes of experience -- what wine goes with spelling flames?

Not too sure about wines with spelling flames but for wines with
flaming spells we have the following posting from alt.food.wine
that seems appropriate:

I recently saw a wooden coaster with a magnetic base. The idea is to
put the wine bottle on this coaster for a 1/2 hour and that would be
the equivalent of year of ageing. I did not buy the coaster because
the price was $60 and that seemed a bit high.

To test this ageing process I taped a small magent to the bottom of a
bottle for a few hours and we held a small wine tasting. The bottle
that was aged magnetically did seem much smoother and disappear long
before the other bottles.

Still, $60 seems a bit high so I searched for a home made solution but
I ran across a product at Canadian Tire which was cheap $7.44 and
works like a charm! A Mastercraft Maximum Stainless Steel Magnetic
Tray. Looks great too. Perfect for ageing those homemade wines. :-)
