Default Volunteers wanted, atkins dieters, low fat dieters and controls

(Nicola Turnill) wrote in message . com...
Hi,
I am a postgraduate student studying at the University of Newcastle
Upon Tyne. I am looking for:

a) individuals currently completing the Atkins Diet, particularly
those who have recently started
b) NON DIETING controls, particularly individuals aged 30-40
c) low fat dieters.

to volunteer to complete my online study which aims to assess the
potential differences in wellbeing between those on low fat and low
carb diets as compared to controls. Completion of the study will only
take 15 minutes and you would be making a valuable contribution to
novel and important research.

The wed address is
http://www.dietblues.co.uk

I hope you can help

Nicola Turnill.

I think they didn't post this to the low-carb forum for a reason. I've
a feeling this little study wasn't intended to be unbiased.

We should all put in our two-cents worth and make sure the study
results are closer to reality. Do this survey everyone and be heard.

I wouldn't trust it either. About 95% of the questions ask about
negative effects of low-carbing. It was posted to the
sci.med.nutrition group where there are a fairly large number of
low-carb detractors. I posted it here so that the pro-low-carbers get
a chance to get their two cents in.

Let's do the survey and see how they spin it. It'll be an interesting
exercise. And if we do not participate, I think the majority of the
respondents will be anti-low-carb. At least let's not make it easy for
them to get the answers they want.
