Default Diet after Heart Attack

In Abilene, the heart doctor says that the patient, my active, 82 yr
old aunt should eat only fruits and vegetables and meat only once per
week. She replies that she doesn't like vegetables so would eating
only fruit be OK?. He says that would be fine.

First, don't take any nutrition advice for an 82 year-old heart patient
from anyone on the internet. Even if we were qualified physicians or
nutritionists, we haven't examined your aunt and couldn't suggest proper
nutrition based on such little information.

Second, get a second opinion. From a doctor at a teaching hospital,
preferably.

Good luck.

After a lifetime of carb poisoning, it is probably too late to do anything.
