Periodic feasting -- the ultimate weight loss paradox?
According to a well-respected martial arts guru, periodic feasting may
provide the missing link in lasting weight control. Honestly, to my mind what the author describes goes far beyond ordinary feasting that we're all guilty of from time to time (i.e., a few too many bowls of chili during the big game) into the realm of fairly astonishing gorging and unabashed piggery. But maybe that's what distinguishes normal overeating from indulgence extreme enough to activate the body's own survival mechanisms. Anyway, as someone who has struggled for many years with highly unpredictable episodes of sudden dramatic weight gain (diagnosed by one physician as lipocemic control deficiency), I found this a very intriguing read: http://tinyurl.com/2utq5f Peace and prosperity to all, The Seeker |
