Default Tentative Schedule for Atlanta LC Meetup

Okay folks...our event is coming up soon. I'm posting this in an attempt to
let everyone who is coming have an opportunity to provide input on the
events, times, places, etc....so please feel free to make any suggestions
you think are needed, or suggest possible alternatives, etc.

Saturday, October 18 (Luna has to work)

10:30 am -- Meet for lunch/brunch/coffee somewhere near the Atlanta Zoo
(good to meet over a meal, I think)

Noon -- Atlanta Zoo

4 pm ish -- go in search of the SciFi collectable places

6:30 pm -- Dinner (could be Brazilian Steakhouse or somewhere else depending
on Sunday brunch)

8:30 pm -- bowling

Sunday, October 19 (Luna will join us)

10:30 am -- Brunch at Brazilian Steak House w/ Luna (assuming they are
open -- Carol Ann will check)

Noonish -- Bowling with Luna (I may not be able to attend this bowling
event, so I'm counting on meetin Luna at the brunch).

Depart for home (or whatever plans you may have).

Works for me! With that schedule I can still do my normal family Sunday
late lunch around 3ish too! Perfect.

Sounds great! I guess the only thing we might need is a backup plan for
the zoo in case it rains that day. Not sure what that might be, though.

Carol Ann - can we also exchange cell phone #s by email for those of us
who occasionally get lost?

I think that the guys still want to go to SciFi collectible places,
but we could head out on our own for Fernbank. Specifically, I would
love to see the IMAX film - Pulse, A Stomp Odyssey. The last showing
of the day is at 4 pm - is it very far from the zoo to Fernbank? The
live showing of Stomp that I saw a few years back was awesome!

(Carol Ann - Just wondering with your computer problems if you got my
email about the Frabel Gallery?)

Also, has anyone been to Psycho Sisters clothing resale store? Just
wondering if it would be worth it to pop in there?

I don't know what Fernbank is, but I can certainly warm up quickly to IMAX!

Kathi,

I just saw this message! ARgh!!

: I think that the guys still want to go to SciFi collectible places,

I'm definitely up for the IMAX film!!!

: (Carol Ann - Just wondering with your computer problems if you got my
: email about the Frabel Gallery?)

Yes, I saw that they were closed on Saturdays now. You didn't get my email?

: Also, has anyone been to Psycho Sisters clothing resale store? Just
: wondering if it would be worth it to pop in there?

Yes, I've been there. Vintage clothing. Gothic. Very cool. I bought a
darn, what's it called? Not a coat, not a scarf goes around your
shoulders??? No arms holes? Geez. I'm brain dead. LOL!

If we had time, a walk through Little Five Points might be quite
entertaining. It's new age. Cool shops. Nice area. Piedmont Park is nice
too. Rollerbladers, Joggers, lots of dogs...walkers.

For the more "pretty" surroundings, there is also the Atlanta Botanical
Gardens. Oh well, so much to do, so little time.

From the alleys Luna listed, the International one with the Arcade sounds
like the most fun. What do you think??

I'm fine with that. I won't know if I can meet on Saturday until I get my
schedule tomorrow night. But I'm still on for Sunday. I believe there's a
Waffle House near the bowling alley . . . actually I think there's a Waffle
House near everything, if that's ok for Sunday brunch. They do eggs,
bacon, grilled chicken . . . I think they even have salads. I don't know
what else is near there . . . maybe a Denny's? I'm almost sure there used
to be a Denny's near there.
