Where Did Everybody Go?

There are multiple forms of support. Emotional strokes is one form of support. Strokes don't help folks figure out what to eat, how low carb works, what to do to solve problems - They are even folks who think strokes are counterproductive for such cases as they seem to okay doing the wrong things. The FAQ file that's posted twice per week lists several web boards - Would folks active on them please consider posting reviews? On the topic of moderation - It's correct that ASLDC was chartered without moderation. The same is still of the large majority of UseNet newsgroups. To a degree UseNet is an experiment in free speech. UseNet teaches that unlimited free speech is every bit as bad as unrestrained censorship. It draws abusers, lunatics and spammers who would never use such speech face to face. We could charter a moderated newsgroup for the topic. I've discussed the requirements on numerous occasions. I'm moderator for several newsgroups so I've been through the process and I'd be happy to help out. What I'm not prepared to do at this point is supply the server that would be needed to run the moderation software, nor to pay the cost of a fee based service that supplies the server. I already pay the subscription for one newsgroup. For a moderated newsgroup to happen someone would have to pony up the required server and load one of the software packages onto it. |

I still check in pretty often, but there's not much to discuss any more. "Still eating food?" "yeah, still eating food. Any new food news?" "No, no new food news." The RoboChallenge is still doing its thing, although it was getting confused because nobody was participating. |

Where Did Everybody Go?
Duffy here. I lurk now and then, but I have gotten timid about posting
lately. I posted when "c" came back...maybe a year or two ago...but she disappeared again! Wonder how she's doing? c, if you're out there, say something! I sure do miss the old days. The information I took from the old group really helped me make and stay at my goal weight of 122. Duffy On Jul 18, 5:58*pm, mcp6453 wrote: I was here for a number of years, but have been AWOL.
