At least you discovered that immediately.
My cats were well cared for by a friend stopping by a couple of times
a day, when I went on my honeymoon. But I came back to discover one
had peed on the electric stove burner (and all into the area under the
burners), when I turned it on. Burning cat pee -- GAWD, what a smell.

Prior to the next vacation, I toured local pet boarding facilities.
