alcoholic nutritional values
I have searched and searched and cannot find a site that gives the
nutiritional values for certain alcohol (i.e. vodka, 99bananas, ect) or for mixed drinks by name (i.e. long island ice tea, sex on the beach, ect). If ianyone out here can help me, I'd really appreciate it. I have a drink everynow and then on the weekends, and it drives me crazy not being able to add the points and having to go by the 'best of my knowledge' :-o So, with this being said, all help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance, Ryanne |

You could try buying your own cocktail books - that way you could see what
was in each cocktail and point it accordingly. Recipes vary so much from place to place - ratio of ingredients may stay the same, but the quantities don't necessarily, so you'll probably only still be able to guess - but guess more accurately than before........ -- krys UK 157/128.6/126 Started March 1st 2001 GOAL August 16th 2001 ....going down?... CalorieKing.com also has some alcoholic drinks. HTH Anny |

www.nutritiondata.com has US-style nutrition labels for a variety of
foods and drinks. If you are on the US plan and calculate based on calories/fiber/fat, this gives you all the info to figure out points yourself. They've got some standard mixed drinks listed, like whisky sours, pina coladas, etc., along with info for the alcohol itself. I think Dottie's site (www.dwlz.com) also has a section with alcoholic beverages. The only ones I can remember off the top of my head a lite beer=2 points/bottle, regular beer=3 points/bottle, and margaritas are 5 points/4 oz. (yikes!). "ryanne" wrote in message ... If you like margaritas (and I certainly do!) get some Baja Bob's low carb margarita mix. You can buy it online and the Baja Bob site lets you find local retail outlets that carry it. Four ounces has 10 calories and therefore 0 pts. Add 2 points for a jigger of tequila and you got a delicious drink for the same points as a light beer. Not that I don't enjoy a bottle of light beer, too, but Sunday we had nachos and margaritas for lunch. Nachos just cry our for a 'rita, don't they? Nachos had baked chips, reduced fat cheese and turkey chili, so the whole lunch with the margarita came to 7 pts. Anny |
