Default Matty's Monthly Update - January 2005

Hi all,

Hope your new year is starting out right. I shared this with a couple people before, here is an article about a guy I went to high school with:

http://www.hollandsentinel.com/stori...10905013.shtml

He owns a local mexican restaurant and is losing weight the same way I am, through diet & exercise.

It was a good article so I thought I'd pass along my story in a letter to the editor:

http://www.hollandsentinel.com/stori...11905017.shtml

I've gotten quite a few compliments from friends and even a few from some of my clients that had seen the article in the paper and realized it was me.

I've been faithful in the walking during the day, even when the temperatures have been dropping to below zero(this morning with the wind-chill it was 15 below). At night it's been a little hard but I've been changing the music in my MP3 player and that has helped.

It's a good feeling being able to buy clothes at Wal-Mart & Meijer's now. Can't find pants yet, but I figure by the summer I should be able to.

Stopped by the doctor today and current weight is 343.4lbs, a loss of 13.6lbs.That brings my total weightloss to 137.6lbs in 11months, I'm about 94lbs from my goal of 250lbs.

Thanks again for your interest and encouragement, I'm glad I found a plan that works - portion control/exercise/support.
