I have from zero to 90% of my athletes on low carb. It entirely
depends on the sport(s) they perform in.

FI, every wrestler (save a few) I have in training came to me on low
carb programs. Many were fighting with "match fatigue" that they
could not figure out. When we cut out the dehydration routines,
switched to the 2PDiet, the majority of these athletes eliminated the
fatigue.

I am successfully getting about 90% of these to change to the 2PD approach.

Here's where we differ. I can control diets better since nutrition is
part of the whole training regimen.

There is some nervousness when these folks see an "immediate" 5-10 lbs gain in
the first week from repletion of there glycogen stores but they seem to take
this better when then are told that this gain is not from fat.

Most athletes are so active that this uptake of stores does not
produce any significant weight gain or there is no uptake.

The 10% that
choose to initially stay with the LC approach are typically those in the
induction phase where the "plateau" has not occurred. Eventually, even the 10%
will become willing to change to the 2PD approach because of the "plateau" and
the concerns about the persistent elevation of hsCRP despite significant weight
loss.

Just the opposite for me. You either get out of ketosis or find
another training company.
