Default The pants

A little over two years ago before restarting Atkins I bought myself a three
or four pairs of chinos. I was 276 (lbs) at the time and barely fit into a
44 waist. One of the pairs had been misplaced in the wrong wall cubbyhole at
the store and I bought it without realizing this. Not until we got home did
I discover that one of the pairs was in fact a 38. For some reason, rather
than return them I just stuck it away in the closet. A couple of weeks later
I started up Atkins again in earnest after a lapse of more than ten years.
(At this point I can't say that the pants experience actually triggered this
decision but it might have contributed to it.)

The other day my wife found the still unworn pants in the closet. I tried
them on and...

I'm still 12-13 pounds from my goal weight (anything over 210 and under 220)
but the pants fit!

Putting on clothes that previously would not fit is one of the best
feelings ever. The jeans I'm wearing today I could not squueze into
six weeks ago. Now, I cannot walk across the room without them sliding
down sans beltage.

Numbers on the scale are great. Seeing it in new (or old) clothes are
the best. You are doing great, the hard work is paying off and it is
showing.

Default The pants (My pants)

I purposely bought a new pair of cute jeans in my goal size. They are
placed over the back of my couch. I have to go past this spot to get
into the kitchen. They have reminded me many times to eat sensibly, and
drink more water.
