Default Differences in Elevation and Calorie Burn

Does anybody know if and by what factor fewer calories are burned in a day
(all other things being equal) if one is at sea level as opposed to almost
6,000 feet above sea level? I will be for a much longer time at sea level
but I was for quite a long time at this elevation. I would guess about 70
calories, but I don't know. Socioeconomic factors (i.e. a lot of wealthy
people) might play an exceptionally big part of Colorado's being the lowest
obesity rate state in the United States, but it could just be the elevation,
you know?

I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that Colordo attracts a more
outdoor-oriented and physically active individual. Having spent a lot of
time in small-town Colorado, I can tell you from personal experience that if
you are NOT an outdoor enthusiast that there is virtually nothing to do
there. Lord, I hate the place.

Yeah, this place is boring with or without money (and I don't have much
money now):

I don't like the mountains.

I don't ski.

So -- returning to the East Coast. (I guess you can't take it out of this
girl).

Lost 57 pounds and don't know if breathing much denser air makes you burn
fewer calories or not.
