Default Health Express Low Carb Bread

A friend told me about it. I found the only distributor in my area is a
Weight loss Dr's office. He sells it retail. Oat Bran bread 13 carbs-12
Fiber. Full size slices and not really too bad. Kind of pricy though at
$7.99/loaf. You can google them and find the outlet near you.

part of low carb way of life is living realistically!

$8.00 a loaf is ridiculous and who can afford to live on that type of
product?
Keep your carbs under 100 grams a day and walk a little, that's enough to
keep the metabolism in check.

I'd also be suspicious of the net carb count, as it sounds too good to
be true compared to other LC breads that cost half as much, but have
more carbs.

I make a lot of use of the Damascus Bakeries LC Flaxseed wraps.
Great for sandwiches or for pizza crust, after blind baking till they
start to brown and crisp up just a bit.

I like your way of thiking. It's been almost 9 years for me, and I'm so
much less crazy than I was the first few years. I still eat no sugar, pasta,
or rice, but I do now eat a bit of fruit, fried breaded foods, nuts, even
the ocassional LC cookies & ice cream etc. I also lost my taste for so much
beef & pork, down to once or twice a week, in favor of chicken and shrimp.

I cringe at paying $3.00 a loaf for bread -- I'm sure not going to
shell out more than twice that for "not really too bad" bread. I'll
just have the real thing -- "really, really good" bread -- at 15 carbs
a slice if I *must* have a piece of toast!

Same here, when I need a slice of bread, I will use Oroweat Lite, or
Sara Lee Delightful. 9 carbs, and satisfying, also around $2.79 a loaf
at Wal-Mart...for now. :-)
