Calories mean squat. Check out this story:

http://www.canada.com/health/story.h...5-8AF12FB81285

quote:

"The dietary establishment has long argued it's impossible, but a new
study offers intriguing evidence for the idea that people on
low-carbohydrate diets can actually eat more than folks on standard
lowfat plans and still lose weight."

Now, if this is correct then it completely throws the calorie theory
out the window, doesn't it?

No it does not. Read the statement. It just says that people who eat more
on a LC diet can eat more than folks on a standard diet and still lose
weight. That in no way implies that the calorie theory is out the window --
though some refinement may be necessary. Also, from what I read, I see no
evidence that they normalized out water weight loss.

And why they would develop a study where they didn't do body fat testing
before and after is beyond me.

Right....of course, we don't really know what they did....without the
benefit of peer-review and publishing, this should not even be reported,
imo.
