Went over to a friends this weekend past and she had a steamer to steam
veggies and I didn't take a close look at what it's brand etc was - Any of you use a veggie steamer (electric) and if so do you love it and what brand? Was it expensive and wheres the best place to get one? Susan 260/219/160 --- 2weeks 2days 6:49hours of being smoke-free, 651 cigs not smoked, $120.44 saved, 2day 6:15hours of my life saved |

She bought herself one, loved it so much she bought a second one to take with her to work, and a 3rd for a gift for me. I use mine occasionally. The issue I have is its basket is large and bulky for cleaning. (I HATE DOING DISHES). |

We really like it; it's how we usually fix our veggies. Chris |

Pull the sides until it is the size of any of your pots, (the width is adjustable) place it in the pot, pour water under the leg height. Put vegetables in the basket put on lid, turn on heat.. wha la... steamed anything. I have had one of these little $4.95 plus tax gadgets for years. I saw one yesterday on the rack. Once I bought a 2 quart Mirro saucepan from Wal-Mart, I was off and running. I steam everything now. (I used to nuke all veggies) -- Walking on . . . Laurie in Maine 207/110 60 inches of attitude! they are cheap and sold at walmart. They must all be good. We use ours and it is good. Try this. Take stir fry frozen vegetable mix and steam it. Then mash it and add a little butter as you are mashing. Really nice food. but but but If you mash your veggies you miss all the calories burned from chewing! ;-) (I'm SO grateful that I learned to like veggies when my mom was on weight watchers - I've never had butter on them) -- Walking on . . .
