I have a hunch you'd be so busy with the chocolate cake you'd forget
all about the saw!

Are you all set for your 60 mile bike ride this weekend? What do you
do to prepare? I can't even visualize such a trip.

Good job on being down a kilo already. Welcome back to the fold.

I tried to post last week to let you all know that I'm back but my isp
wouldn't send any posts through. So yes, I am back, I have put on
weight but I'm getting myself back on track. I've had a great week and
am down a kilo already.

I need help though so be prepared to see heaps of posts from me. Oh,
and it feels so good to be back :-)

I'm going to admit to my weight today. It's embarrassing to have to
say that I'm not in Onederland anymore. Still, I know what to do to
get back there.

My current weight: 147 lbs
Weight change since my last recorded weight: -5 lbs
Total weight change to date: -85 lbs

It's the best day of my life!

I will be packing my own lunch probably - peanut butter and jelly.
Maybe two.

I believe in the pleasure/pain principle.

So now we know what kind of hell you have to go through to eat peanut
butter and jelly without gaining.

I wonder what you have to do to eat choclate cake without gaining. Saw
off a leg presumably

Now wait (weight) just one moment. YOU who sweat with all that boring
INDOOR lifting and cardio question pedaling out in the great outdoors
(ignoring for a moment all the Open day boating traffic (and saddle
sores)) (G)

Chocolate cake is worth one weekend of both biking and a hike that
gains 4,000 feet (1,000 meters) of elevation in 4 miles (6.44 km) and
then losing (braking is a lot of downhill hiking) that elevation in
the same distance (as opposed to parachuting which some nut wants to
do!!! (g))

Any additional questions? (G)

This from a guy who hated Phys Ed in school and never played any
sports - you, too, may discover the GREAT OUTDOORS.

Okay, Ray is right - it was not worth a peanut butter (actually, in
this case almond butter) and jelly sandwich!!!! The last 15 miles, at
least, were hell. I felt like I was being branded. The last few
uphills definitely were also taking their toll.

Stats: 69.1 miles
2,150 elevation gain.
Torture!

Now I have to be fresh for a wedding in a bit over an hour..........
