Food & Exercise -- 1/12/2007 (yesterday)
Yesterday was an atypical Friday. I skipped my usual lifting/yoga at
the gym in order to meet a girlfriend for lunch -- ran later instead. I ate well enough at lunch but hung around with my friend drinking wine for a couple of hours afterward. (We both have lots of elderly mother issues going on and it was good to talk. I was having a bad day in that regard, with my mom in the emergency room down in NC and frustrations trying to get information about what was going on. By the evening things had settled down somewhat. Apparently she has some cracked vertebrae and will be having a vertebraplasty (not sure how to spell this) procedure early next week. It gets complicated because of her difficulty understanding what's going on and consequent confusion that results. Anyway...) In the evening DH and I went out for Chinese food. I didn't eat a whole lot but we didn't order very healthy stuff. Calorie totals weren't terrible, though over my goal. This is okay, but we have a wine dinner tonight and my wine tasting group tomorrow night :-). Food: * 7:00 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices melted f/f cheese & 10g grated parmesan * 10:00 (home): 1 clementine * 11:30 -- 2:00 (Italian restaurant): 12 oz. wine; 8 mussels in white wine sauce; 1 dinner roll; mozzarella, tomato, & artichoke salad (~2 oz. fresh mozzarella) {This was an appetizer and a salad -- no entree.} * 6:30 (Chinese restaurant): 3 steamed meat dumplings; 1 pancake of moo shi pork; 1 1/2 pancakes of Peking duck {DH and I split an appetizer portion of the dumplings. We ordered two entrees -- 1/2 Peking duck and order of moo shi -- and had a lot left over even though DH ate more than I did.} Totals: 1846 calories (208 from alcohol), 65g fat (32%), 142g carbs 931%), 110g protein (24%) Exercise: 3:15 -- 3 mile run |
