I love reading menu posts, exercise routines and all the recipes. I've learned a lot from each of you. I wouldn't have dreamed of lifting weights without Chris and Dally making it sound cool. Beverly and jmk finally got me over my fear of bike riding on the narrow roads here. Perple and Jenn's search for answers and openness to new directions helps me not get rigid about *my* way. Meeting Amy IRL was great fun and I'd like to get together with more of you. Diva and Mary M and Barbara Hirsh continue to inspire by simply keeping on. JayJay's no-nonsense posts are honest and always real. Even Igor's fretting over the difficulties of keeping off his weight makes me grateful for my easier temperament. Beeswing, Tonia, Elly, Julianne, Janice, Ally, Susan and Kasey - I hate to leave anybody out - you're all amazing! My weight fluctuates between 110 and 113 and I try not to let it bug me. My legs have reshaped themselves since I started bike riding, maybe it's muscle! lol Chris' goal range seems more sane. What's important is that all my size *four* clothes (and the size 2 Old Navy khakis g) fit me and I feel wonderful. For the first time in my life I consider myself to be a healthy, active, athletic person and I really like that. I celebrated today by doing my oldest and newest forms of exercise. Pilates this morning, 18 mile bike ride after lunch and a glorious 3 mile walk with my tunes humming in my ear after supper. I'm happy. So I lift my glass of water to salute you all. I just got the trail maps and prices for downhill skiing for this winter - easier on the tailbone than XC skiing. It will probably be a long winter this year up here since we've already had frost all week (overnight temps around 35). I predict it will start snowing next month which means I could be snowshoeing by Thanksgiving. Jenn Bitch ;-) -- Walking (but mostly biking!) on . . . Laurie in Maine 207/110 60 inches of attitude!
