I'm going through some very rough times right now, but I've managed to
maintain my starting weight for August.

Carol Ann,

Good morning! Things are going great with me. I weighed in this morning at
208. The best thing is that I'm wearing size 16W shorts and jeans (and
L/XL, 18/20 shirts) that my SIL passed down to me. That's from a pre-lc
size of 28W! Oh, happy day!

Your 'challenge' is one of the best things I've ever done!

Default CHALLENGERS: One week into August. Check In!

I'm almost at goal after only one week, and I'm very excited about it
because I've reached a new low. Well, new at least since the time I passed
it on my way up to 324 pounds!

Today I am at 258.1, so I'm 4.4 pounds down from where I started this
month's Challenge.

I think all of the Crosstraining I've been doing is what has been doing the
trick. I do 30 minutes each day on the Crosstrainer at my gym, 5-6 days per
week.
Also I make sure that I burn more calories than I take in, at least
according to my Fitday charts.

Lots of dancing at concerts lately has helped too.

I can't wait to see how low I can get by September 1st. Getting below 250
will be a big accomplishment to me.

I bought some skirts at Lane Bryant yesterday and I rarely wear skirts
because my hips are so wide and I always feel I look crazy in skirts. But
yesterday I tried on a size 14/16 asymmetical skirt and it fits! And it
looks nice on me! (a woman who was waiting to use the fitting room told me
so; I was hesistant to believe my own eyes). An 18/20 would have fit a
little better but I figure since I'm still shrinking I'd go with the 14/16.

It feels so good to lose weight and to notice little changes each day. 240's
here I come.

At 176, 1 more pound to go to the goal for month, and the
end goal as far as weight loss goes.

Of course, I still have lots of work still to do in terms of
maintenance and continued activity in building up some more
muscle and, now, general conditioning. I am head and
shoulders above where I was a year ago in terms of what I
can do physically, but I still get frustrated by how quickly
I can work to exhaustion on certain cardio exercises,
especially when I switch up what I do. I'm improving but
still have room for much more.
