The key to Atkins is the phrase "eat enough to satisfy". If you eat
too much, you won't lose weight. The first two weeks are about
adaptation, calories don't matter then, but after that they DO matter
and you should be careful not to overeat. Count calories, post a list
of what you eat (weigh or measure everything), and don't be
discouraged yet.

Default Help: I do not lose weight with Atkins diet.

Thanks to all for your answers.

Following the advice of Ada, I will give you the information of what I
have eaten during these 24 days that I am following the Atkins diet.

I have to say that due to my personal situation, I should eat
frequently cans of preserve and my diet is quite bored, but these
goods facilitate me the count of carbohydrates.

Breakfast:
- 1 can of tuna 80 g (188 Kcal - Proteins 18,4 g - Carbohydrates 0 g -
Fat 12,8 g)
- 60 g of fresh cheese (120 Kcal - Proteins 7,2 g - Carbohydrates 2,1
g - Fat 9 g)

Every days the same.

Lunch:
- 200 g of cow meat to the iron with olive oil (354 Kcal - Proteins
39,4 g - Carbohydrates 0 g - Fat 19 g) or
- 200 g of chicken to the iron with olive oil (290 Kcal - Proteins 42
g - Carbohydrates 0 g - Fat 1,8 g) or
- 200 g of fish to the iron olive oil.

Dinner:
- 1 can of tuna 80 g (188 Kcal - Proteins 18,4 g - Carbohydrates 0 g -
Fat 12,8 g) more
- 1 can from sardines 90 g (216 Kcal- Proteins 21,6 g- Carbohydrates
1,14 g- Fat 12,6 g) more
- two cups of green lettuce or escarole or
- a cucumber

decorated with mayonnaise+/- 40 g (270 Kcal - Proteins 0,25 g -
Carbohydrates 0,45 g - Fat 30 g) or

olive oil +/- 50 ml/ day (375 Kcal)

Between hours and for dessert:
- cheese emmental +/- 150 g (625 Kcal - Proteins 42 g - Carbohydrates
4,5 g - Fat 46,5 g)

- eggs 2 - 4 per week.

As you could see, not very varied.

A greeting for all.

Hi
I am in heavy K for 4 days and have gained 3-4 pounds. Is this
normal.... What can I be doing wrong....

Eating too many calories or eating salty foods are two things that come to
mind.
Without more information there's no way anyone can give you a more specific
answer. Post what you're eating and drinking *with amounts* and don't leave
anything out no matter how insignificant it seems to you.

Um, it said "or" between each of the three alternatives.

Still, 200g is about half a pound (8 oz) which is a bit excessive
anyway.

Half a pound of mayo is 1600 kcals. How did you make this, and how
many calories are really in it? I've found that things like mayo,
oil, and cheese add up faster than I realize.

9Pm (LOL) dinner at a steak house I had a porter house for 2 and

Why not porterhouse for 1? You're not two people.

today, no breakfast

Spreading your calories throughout the day helps with appetite
control, too.

Either use Fitday or http://www.delorie.com/health/ns/ to figure out
for yourself how many calories you're eating. Without measurements
(weights or volumes) we can't figure out calories for you.
