Well I have almost cut out sweets but once in awhile I need something. but
the
problem is with my wacky food allergies I am pretty limited. My body does not
like milk. though I can handle cheese just fine. I used to be fine with cream
but now that seems to be out too.
I was making pudding from cream and eggs and splenda and flavorings. well
that's out now. so what sweet thing can I make without any milk products? not
sure if I can eat cream cheese as I harder ever eat it. right now I don't
want
to try it as it takes several days sometimes for my asthma to stop bothering
me
when I do have an allergic reaction. I only so so care for jello. any other
idea's?

CHOCOLATE MERINGUE KISSES by Ishtar

4 egg whites
1 t. vanilla extract
1/8 t. cream of tartar
1 c. Splenda
3 T. unsweetened cocoa

Preheat oven to 225.
Put baking parchment on a cookie sheet.

Beat egg whites until foamy.
Add vanilla extract a few drops at a time and cream of tartar.
Beat until meringue starts to look creamy and forms soft peaks.
Add in Splenda a little at a time.
Add in cocoa a little at a time.

Put meringue on parchment paper cookie sheet by spoonfuls.
(You can use a pastry bag and pipe them into cones like Hershey kisses, or
flower shapes if you're good with that kind of thing.)
Bake at 225 for one hour.
Turn off oven, open oven door a crack, and allow to cool 5-10 minutes. Remove
from oven and allow to cool away from drafts.
Remove from parchment paper when cool.

If you make smaller meringues, don't bake them quite as long, or they
will be overdry and fracture easily.

Minimum purchase is pretty steep though.

$15, but the site is very annoying!

Have you tried Yogurt? Many people who are milk/lactose intolerant can
handle yogurt just fine. If you don't have problems with cheese,
yogurt might be ok. There are many varieties, flavoured in many
different ways.

I dont know what plan you are following nor the amount of carbs you
allow yourself. One of my favorite desserts is.. fried apple in
butter (or in the same pan I just fried some sausage) with cinnamon
and splenda (sometimes I add a few nuts). Pumpkin pie, without the
crust, made with splenda is good also.

You 'want' something.

It's an important distinction.

When you want something sweet... try sugar free ice pops.

very true (G) it's just been pretty frustrating. I left out several
things.I have allergic reactions to almost all carbs. grains, sugar
and such. fruit is all I can tolerate.
actually any treat would be nice. but I just can't think of anything.

Well, since you can tolerate fruit, how about eating fruit when you want
something sweet?

I don't know what carb level you are eating at, but I remember you saying
you were eating low-carb for health, not weight loss, so I am making the
assumption that these allerges are the health problems you were talking
about.

If it turns out that you do have some carb-allowance you are trying to stay
below, focus on relatively low-carb fruits like berries. It might help,
especially if your sweet cravings are only once in a while.

How about some better jello?
Try this with frozen fruit, it's fantastic:

Get a bag of frozen (unsweetened) strawberries or mixed berries.
Make up a box of sugar-free jello (or your own)
Stir in frozen berries (you can decide on the quantity, but I like at least
a cup).
The jello will set more quickly because of the frozen fruit. When you eat
the jello, it will be super tastey.

My other thought for a snack would be pecans... melt butter in a pan, add
pecans... sprinkle splenda & cinnamon on top. Delicious.
