Did she actually measure her blood pressure or did she translate her
headache into high blood pressure?

I'm not really sure. She just said it was her blood pressure. I
figured she ought to know how it feels since she had such trouble with
it before. I was just curious about it in general. I don't think I'll
be talking her back into Atkins any time soon. She is probably super
cautious about such things because of her previous experiences. I
understand about the headache. I've read about that many times on
here. I've been on Atkins for 2 years now. I don't remember a
particular problem with that in the beginning.

Well, I have had high blood pressure for years and have never "felt" it. I
have heard people say they could "feel" their blood pressure rise and I
never believed it. They always say it in circumstances where someone has
angered them. I suspect they are associating the feelings of an adrenalin
dump with a rise in BP. In general, people find that LC lowers their BP
over time, but BP can fluctuate a great deal. You may have heard of "white
coat syndrome" where people's anxiety at going to the doctor causes their BP
readings there to be higher than they usually are. I have never heard
protein consumption associated with high BP. Salt can raise it, though, and
maybe she is consuming more sodium. However, you really can't begin to
figure anything out about blood pressure without a good measuring device.
