It's free but you do need to register. www.fitday.com It's a good way to determine what you're eating and the carb/protein/fat ratio. Many in the group recommend 10 x goal weight as the number of daily calories needed to lose weight. This might be a starting point for you. I weighed 177 when I decided it was time to lose the weight, too. That was 10 years ago and I've been able to maintain around my goal of 140 since that time. It can be done! Hope to see you posting often. I find posting and reading daily helps to keep on track. Beverly 177/140/~135 since 1996 |

Hurray for staying active! I have to learn to be more active. I'm also
around your age. I'm 24. I want to lose about 20 pounds. I'm posting what I eat every day. Maybe you can join me? Not to be rude or unkind but have you tried eating LESS and moving MORE? That always works. If you take in less than you burn, you will lose weight. That's about 70+ lbs in a year. The year will pass whether you lose or gain weight. If you want to lose faster then cut back even more on the calories, or increase the exercise. Could you be expecting a little too much of yourself? LW Re-Start - 7/5/06 - 170lbs Today - 154 lbs Goal - 130 lbs Height: 5'6" Female. Im willing to committ and post everyday........ Hello and welcome. So, what do you think of the power90 videos? Care to do a review for the group? As for losing, you just need to try harder. Obviously if you are doing some workouts, then you will need to be more diligent about your food intake and reduce that. Beverly provided a good site for watching your food intake. One thing I've always recommended to people is to eat like you usually do and track it in fitday for a few days or a week. If you do this before you reduce your calories, you really get an eye opener. You realize how much food you actually are consuming. THen if you go by your weight and moderate activity, you cand get a ballpark range of where you need to be at for "maintenance" and from there you can reduce by about 500 calories per day in order to get the deficit you need to lose about 1 to 2lbs per week.
