I am curious and would like to hear a bit more about your story since
I've got PCOS too. What sort of IR related symptoms did you have and
what sort of PCOS symptoms did you have were cured by dropping carbs??

I had constant cysts, ovarian pain, spotting and bleeding constantly,
bloating, hair thinning on my head, developing under my chin, dark areas
of skin on my neck. And I developed the dyslipidemia that marks the
metabolic syndrome. Also, my moods were really bad on Mondays, the day
after bagel and pizza Sundays in our house. Really bad fibromyalgia and
peripheral neuropathies.

All resolved within weeks of low carbing, the fibro was literally gone
overnight. The PNs were reduced to some tingling and numbness in my
legs and feet that resolved with time released alpha lipoic acid.

Thanks for sharing. I certainly had spotting and I was bleeding almost
constantly when I went to see the doc for the first time. I also used
to often have pains in my feet when I woke up first thing in the morning
but I relate it more to drinking beer (lager to be exact) then anything
else. On a similar vein I have very bad period like cramps the morning
after if I'd been drinking cider but not other alcohol. I'll pay more
attention to the symptoms you have mentioned and see if any of those
happen after a carb heavy day.

Ada :-)
