Default NoCount smoothies

Hi all

I have decided to try the NoCount diet and need some advice on making
smoothies. I have a machine called a Magic Bullet which you just put all
the fruit into and it whizzes it all up into a smoothie. (Usually I put some
water or fat free yog with it.) Is this OK for breakfast on NC as it's
delicious and means I have lots of fruit in one go?

Thanks all.

Barb

Hi Barb!

If the NoCount is like the CORE, a smoothie for breakfast is fine as long as
it is made with foods on the CORE list.

Hope that helps!

So long as you use zero fat milk or yoghurt and core fruits, yes. My
son is a banana smoothie freak! For a little extra treat, try my
Chocolate Banana Smoothie recipe: not quite core, but worth the points!

For two portions:

4 small ripe bananas
4 teaspoons vanilla sugar
1 pint zero fat milk
1 tablespoon cocoa powder

ziz madly until smooth: pour into two tall glasses.

For a totally core fruit smoothie: PURPLE HORROR!

100g blueberries
100g strawberries
1 banana
1 pot 0% fat Greek yoghurt
a pint skimmed milk

Sweeteners may be added if desired, but I like it as it is. Blat the
hell out of it until you have a thick, smooth, purple glop! Use a fat
straw...

Some folk like vegetable smoothies and juice, but not me, I'm afraid...
they always taste like compost!

No, it's not "OK" The more calories you take in, the more weight you'll
gain. It's very simple. Don't try to be cute with your diet, you're just
hurting yourself. See http://www.heartmdphd.com/wtloss.asp
