I ride and walk and now run w/ music. Its very low, so I can hear all that is going on around me. But it is more of a background distraction so that I don't get bored and want to cut my exercise short. I also either do my exercise in quiet residential neighborhoods, or on sidewalks. But I'm always extremely observant of surrounding traffic and what is going on around me. My music is low enough that I can have and hear a conversation if need be. I play my music loud and I can still hear the cars. I would never have walked all these miles without it. -- Walking on . . . Laurie in Maine 207/110 60 inches of attitude!
