Starting fresh!
Thanks, Gail. Day 4 & going strong. Bill is also improving slowly each day
and I hope he will get his speech back 100 % - time will tell - but at least I have him ;-D Elaine K 331.4/194.2/179 "G. All the best and plenty of hugs to boot! (((Elaine K.))) :-) Gail 180/159/145 I have just gone through a very stressful time & have gained about 20 pounds. My husband had a small stroke but has now almost fully recovered & is at home. This is day 1 of my fresh start, so wish me luck in staying OP. Elaine K 331.4/194.2?/179 |

Starting fresh!
I sure understand the constant worrying. It's hard to get it into your head that
if something is going to happen, it's going to happen ... regardless as to whether you are in his presence or not. It could be tomorrow, it coud be 3 years, it may never happen again. I went through the same thing with my husband years ago when he was having problems that were going undiagnosed. He was afraid to be alone, I was afraid to leave him alone .. both of us seemed to end up putting our lives on hold. I don't know if there is an answer Elaine, other than if you don't make some time for yourself, you aren't going to do your own health (mental and otherwise) any good. I wish both of you the best! Bill's still improving fast and now starting to talk faster ;-D I'm back to going out, but I worry about him being alone now - but I must get back to normal & do my exercising as usual or I know I will gain more weight! The exercise also helps fight the stress as I do get a nice feeling of euphoria after a really long walk. Elaine K 331.4/194.2/179 Joyce wrote: Oh Elaine, I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I'm glad to hear he is back and home and recuperating well. I wish him a speedy and full recovery. I hope you are able to relax more now that he is home and you know he will be alright. I don't have any doubts that you will get that stress weight right back off. I'm pulling for ya!
